A Russellville man was charged after he reportedly led law enforcement on a pursuit that ended in Todd County Tuesday morning.

Logan County Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Daniel Doss on South 6th Street for an expired Mississippi registration, and he fled.

The pursuit reportedly traveled down several streets in Logan County before spike strips were used to deflate one tire, and then the pursuit crossed into Todd County on US 79.

Deputies say at times Doss was driving on the wrong side of the road and was able to avoid spike strips used by Todd County Sheriff’s deputies by going off the road.

The pursuit reportedly ended at the intersection of Old Railroad Lane due to the vehicle being disabled, and Doss was taken into custody.

He was reportedly found to have several warrants in Logan County and in Tennessee for fleeing or evading law enforcement and drug-related offenses.

Doss is charged with no registration plates, first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, tampering with physical evidence, possession of meth third offense, no insurance, and several traffic violations.
