It took an hour and ten minutes on Thursday afternoon for volunteers to distribute around 400 hams at Todd County Interfaith.
The Tennessee Valley Authority and Pennyrile Electric sponsored the distribution event.
TVA’s Jana Sublett said that while in Elkton, they truly saw the community’s needs.
Pennyrile Electric Vice-President of Member Services Brent Gilkey added that people were lined up early for the event.
The Russellville Electric Plant Board will host a ham giveaway on Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 9 a.m. to noon at Logan County Good Samaritan, located at 602 E. Fourth Street. This giveaway is only open to their customers.
