More than fifty firefighters and first responders from Todd County learned about grain bin rescue during a training session Tuesday night at the Todd County Extension office.
Todd County Agriculture Extension Agent Traci Johnson says she hosted the event to help firefighters and first responders be more prepared in the event of a grain bin rescue.
The training was conducted by Lexie Bullis with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture's Safety Division. Bullis says the training included a showing of "The Silo".
Bullis says grain bin safety education is making a difference.
The Silo was filmed on the farm of Quint Pottinger in central Kentucky and can be seen on Hulu.
Justin Griffin was the winner of the chili cook-off that was judged by Elkton Mayor Arthur Green and Your Ag Edge's Alan Watts.
