Mrs. Rosalene Hurst Gibson age 91 of Louisville, KY and formerly of Elkton passed away Monday December 8, 2025, 5:55 p.m. at Baptist Health East in Louisville, KY.
Services will be Friday December 12, 2025, 12:00 noon at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY. Burial will follow in the Tabernacle Cemetery in Todd County. Visitation will be Thursday December 11, 2025, at Latham Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m until the funeral hour at 12 Noon. Mrs. Rosalene was born in Ochlocknee, GA on October 30, 1934. She was a retired nurse having worked at Wesley Manor in Louisville, KY and Pembroke Nursing Home in Pembroke, KY.
She was a member of the Christian Church and loved to garden growing all types of flowers. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Cecil Gibson in 1999, her parents Richard Henry Hurst and Annie Bell Lindsay Hurst, her daughter in law Roxanne Gibson, her brother Elton Eugene Hurst, her sisters Jewell White and Annette Dennis.
She is survived by her son Michael Charles Gibson Louisville, KY, her daughter Debra Ann Gibson Story of Louisville, KY, her sister Betty Brown of Georgia, her grandchildren Heather Miller and her husband Ryan, Megan Sims and her husband Donald, and Kelly Leal and her husband Jonathan, her great grandchildren Audrey Gail Sims, Caleb Glen Sims and Leyla Eloise Leal.
