The winners have been announced for the 2025 Todd County Hay Bale Trail.
The “Fan Favorite” winners, voted on by community members via Facebook, are the following:
In first place, Providence Church’s hay bale creation, “HAY-lelujah, a Little Country Church.” In second place, Blount Rural Health Center with “HAY, MOOve it on over to BRHC” and in third place, bale trail stop number 22, “How to Tr-HAYn Your Dragon.”
Four hay bale exhibits were also chosen as “Most Creative,” voted on by three independent judges from outside Todd County, and scored based on originality, creative use of materials, attention to detail and overall impression, according to the Todd County Chamber of Commerce.
Those winners are “What Do Gnomes Learn at School? The Elf-abet!” in the small category, “Cash Cow” by United Southern Bank in the large category, “Bear-HAY Sweet Treats at Schlabach’s” by Schlabach’s Bakery in the mega category, and “Peace, Love, and Hap-HAY-ness” for Best Supporting Scarecrow.
There’s still time to catch a glimpse of the winning hay bale creations until the bale trail comes to a close Friday, Oct. 31.
