October is a month of hope and remembrance as communities rally around Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Women of all ages packed the Todd County Library Community Room Saturday to support breast cancer patients and survivors. Just 13 months from her diagnosis, Samantha Boley shared her journey.
Just a few weeks later she had her answer: ductal carcinoma in situ.
She underwent treatment, having good days and bad days, but fighting through it all for her husband and 5-year-old daughter.

Bell Clinic APRN, Carra Gorrel says one in eight women will have breast cancer, but the survival rate has increased over the last few decades, making it important to get checked.
Gorrel adds that she stresses to all her patients the importance of knowing your body.
Boley has one message for anyone listening.
