Allegre Volunteer Fire Department Fall Fundraiser Saturday

The Allegre Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual fall fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 25.

The event will feature an all-you-can-eat meal for $20 with food served from 5-8 p.m., as well as the opportunity to see the department’s brand-new tanker truck that was recently added to the fleet in August.

Allegre’s fire department writes this is a monumental upgrade and an important step forward in enhancing emergency response capabilities. Made possible through a combination of community support and donations, the group adds the tanker also features a large water tank and pump, making it especially valuable for rural firefighting operations where access to water sources can be limited.

As a volunteer fire department, the organization relies primarily on community support and donations. Proceeds for the department go directly into station maintenance and new equipment, now including the upkeep of the new tanker truck and funding for its lettering and decals.

Allegre’s fire department says they are so grateful for the continued support from residents and local partners as maintaining the station and its equipment would not be possible without Todd County’s community involvement.
