Agriculture Commissioner Shell Checks In With Todd County Farmers

Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell made a stop in Todd County at Chester Farms on Thursday to discuss local/regional issues producers are facing.

About 45 farmers, local ag interests, school representatives, and FFA students gathered to talk through topics ranging from new end uses for ag products, expanding E15 nationwide, ag education, and efforts to partner with economic development interests to better plan for industrial growth.

Following a farm-to-fork meal, Commissioner Shell answered questions from the group and shared his outlook on where he sees the state of agriculture in the year ahead.
