James Lewis Graves, 89, Trenton, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, in Clarksville, TN.
James, the son of the late George and Sarah Graves, was born on July 14, 1936, in Todd County, KY.
James was a member of Queen Ann Baptist Church where he was the oldest member, church mechanic, and a faithful servant. He was a mechanic with Rogers Group and worked in farming. He enjoyed working with his hands, working on cars, fishing, going to church and doing mission work.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Willie Lee Wilson Graves; Siblings, William Graves, Elnora Nicholson, George Graves, Jr., Charles Graves, Frank Graves, Emma Russell, Willie Mae Catlett, Anna Minor, Mary Jo Dawson, and Bobby Graves.
Survivors include hid children, Erwin Graves, Linda Burnett, Jacqueline Graves, Steve Graves, and Gregory (Latoya) Graves; brother, John (Frances) Graves; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00 at Gamble Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin Saturday at 10:00 am.
Burial will follow in the Elkton Cemetery.
