The Clifty Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual fundraiser and auction Saturday, Sept. 20.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. with a barbecue supper, featuring $15 plates with a meat, two sides, dessert and drink, and kid’s meals for $5, including a hot dog, chips, dessert and drink.
The fundraiser will also feature bounce houses for children, a cake walk and an auction beginning at 6 p.m.
Secretary Leslie Chandler says all money raised through the fundraiser will be used for general upkeep and maintenance for the fire department. Clifty’s Volunteer Fire Department has been open since 1988 and runs solely on donations, fundraising and state-aid grants.
The fundraiser will take place at the department’s headquarters at 13805 Greenville Road in Lewisburg, Kentucky.
