An Elkton man was charged with attempted arson after threatening to burn a house down on West Jefferson Street Monday afternoon.
Elkton Police say they were called for 53-year-old Michael Bailey who was found walking with a plastic jug full of gasoline and a lighter approximately 500 feet from the home.
He was reportedly hostile towards law enforcement but was taken into custody and charged with attempted second-degree arson and second-degree disorderly conduct.
Todd County Sheriff’s deputies assisted Elkton Police with the investigation.
