An Elkton man was killed in a wreck on Milliken Chapel Road in Simpson County Sunday morning.
Kentucky State Police say just before 6 am, a vehicle driven by 48-year-old Christopher Barker ran off the road and hit a tree.
Barker was pronounced dead at the scene by the Simpson County Coroner’s Office.
A Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy reportedly observed Barker’s vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash.
The crash is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
