Todd County students return to campus this week and South Todd Elementary Principal Jennifer Oyler is excited to kick off the new school year.
Oyler says South Todd’s theme for the 2025-26 school year is “This is our moment and the world is ours.”
She adds head custodian Matthew Talley, or “Mr. Matthew” as the students call him, has done a phenomenal job this summer getting the building ready for students to return. Oyler says there have been a lot of improvements and Talley’s work is integral in the shape the school is in.
The school will also see a few new faces this year with the staff.
South Todd will also be working with the Todd County AXIS Program, which offers mental health resources to students throughout the district, says case manager Kari Haley.
The first day of school for students is Wednesday, Aug. 6.
