Todd Schools FRYSC Seeking Contributors For Adopt A Student Program

Todd County Schools’ Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) is seeking individuals to help with their Adopt a Student program before the new school year begins next month.

There are currently 29 students who need “adopting” throughout the high school, middle school and both elementary schools in the district.

The Adopt a Student program, similar to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree, pairs a Todd Countian with a local student who could use some help with purchasing new back-to-school clothing. The FRYSC requests that each student receives 3-5 new outfits. Individuals are also welcome to adopt more than one student.

No shoes are needed thanks to the generosity of the Todd County community and Elkton’s Rotary Club. This year’s Firecracker 5k raised nearly $8,000 for the FRYSC Happy Feet program, surpassing its fundraising goal, and will be able to provide 200 Todd County School students with new shoes to start the school year.
