Thanks to strong community support this month, WEKT has decided to host one more broadcast in honor of the first Cooling Our Communities campaign.
Todd County Community Service Coordinator Misty Owen told Your WEKT News Edge that the need continues to grow.
Owen said that of the 26 handed out, about 20 went to the elderly.
WEKT will broadcast from Haley Hardware in Elkton on Thursday afternoon from 1:30 to 2:30. During the broadcast, information on some big donations will be announced.
Basic box fans can be purchased at Haley Hardware for $22.99 each and left there. Fans can also be dropped off at the Todd County Public Library or the Todd County CSBG Office. Walker Automotive serves as the headline sponsor for this year’s fundraising effort.
