TCCHS is exploring the possibility of adding a bass fishing team to its athletics department.
The district’s athletic director Mike Smith says students have expressed great interest, however the activity would be very adult-heavy with a need for volunteers.
Smith is currently seeking interested community members who would be willing to help get the team running and help throughout the season by supplying trucks, boats and their time and expertise. He is also seeking one individual to coach the team. So far, Smith says there has been a positive response to his search for volunteers, but he needs to be sure the team can have a support structure.

He is planning an interest meeting for the second or third week of July and hoping everything can come together by the end of July.
