Mr. John Henry Gilbert, age 78 of Elkton, passed away June 12, 2025, at 3:20 a.m. at his residence. The family has chosen a cremation with services to be held at a later date. Latham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. John was born in Harlan County, KY, on February 8, 1947. He retired from the Flynn Enterprise Elkton location. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ike Huff Gilbert and Nettie Mills Gilbert, his son John David Gilbert, and his daughter Stella Gilbert. He loved to trade and sell everything.
He is survived by his son Allen Gilbert of Elkton, his daughter Amanda Chavez of the home, also 8 grandchildren.
