Mrs. Evelyn Morgan Bell Boone, age 97 of Elkton, passed away 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Hearthstone Place in Elkton. A memorial service will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Petrie Memorial Methodist Church in Elkton. Visitation will be from 4:30 until time for the service at the church on Thursday. A private burial in Glenwood Cemetery was handled by Latham Funeral Home in Elkton.
Mrs. Evelyn was born July 21, 1927 in Pendelton County, KY. She was the past owner of The Todd County Standard and had served as Mayor of Elkton, KY. She was very active in the community. She graduated from Holmes High School in Covington, Kentucky, in 1945, Evelyn attended Bethel Woman's College in Hopkinsville, graduating in 1948.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Minnie Morgan; brother Carl Edward Morgan; sister Ida Irene Jones; sister Naomi Ruth Marshall; her first husband, Caleb Norris Bell, Jr.; their daughter, Clara Elizabeth Bell Borsch Bowden; and her second husband, Benjamin Edwards Boone, III.
Evelyn is survived by her three grandsons that she was so proud of, Adam (Julie) Borsch, Randal Borsch, and Ryan Borsch; two great-grandchildren, Will and Parker Borsch; nephew Todd (Pam) Morgan; niece Carla (William) March; and niece Elaine Baesler.
