Elkton’s inaugural Touch-A-Truck event saw a great turnout Saturday, June 7 with lots of vehicles for kids to explore at Todd County Park.

Touch-a-truck is a hands-on, educational experience where children can explore and interact with a variety of different vehicles up close, from fire trucks and police cars to construction equipment and semis. On Saturday, Children had the opportunity to climb inside 17 different types of vehicles, honk horns, meet the people who operate them and learn all about how they work.

Air-evac also made a special appearance and landed at the park.

The City of Elkton partnered with the Todd County Public Library and Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) to present the first event of this kind for the city, with lots of other community organizations coming together to make it possible, such as Fat Boyz Snowballs, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Happy Bouncers, Living Ministries Church and many more.
