Mr. Keith Wayne Wilson, age 62, of Elkton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4th, at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on September 13, 1962, in Elkton, Keith was the beloved son of the late Layton and Dorothy Hightower Wilson.
He was a member of the Stokes Chapel Church. Keith had a passion for sports, especially cheering on UK Basketball and following NASCAR. He loved to mow his yard and found joy in traveling. More than anything, Keith cherished time spent with his family. His greatest joy came from being with his two grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepmother, Johneese Wilson. Keith is survived by his loving wife, Rasha Wilson of Elkton; his sons, Russell Wilson and Dylan Wilson, both of Elkton; his daughter, Kristen Brooke Wilson of Elkton; his siblings, Terry “Flip” Wilson and Mike Wilson of Elkton, Barry Wilson of Phoenix, Arizona, and Karen Petrie of Elkton and two adored grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th, from 5:00 to 8:00 at the Stokes Chapel Church. A funeral service celebrating Keith’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 11th, at 12:00 at the Stokes Chapel Church with Rev. Kevin Heflin, Rev. Gary Chapman, and Rev. Clayton Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Stokes Chapel Cemetery.
