A Guthrie man was given a superseding indictment earlier this month by the Todd County Grand Jury on charges of rape and sexual abuse of a minor.

The indictment against 26-year-old Jonathan Detweiler included charges of first-degree rape – victim under 12, first-degree and second-degree sexual abuse, and third-degree terroristic threatening.

The rape and first-degree sexual abuse charges comes from Detwiler’s alleged sexual contact with a minor under the age of 12 between March 24, 2017 and March 23, 2021.

The second-degree sexual abuse charge comes from his alleged contact with a different victim under the age of 16 from December 21, 2018, to December 20, 2019.

The three charges of third-degree terroristic threatening come from Detweiler’s threats made against the two juveniles, stating he was going to use physical force if they told anyone about his alleged actions. He was previously indicted on these charges in September 2023.

Detweiler’s arraignment was held May 21st in Todd County Circuit Court. The Todd County Sheriff’s Office handled the investigation.
