May is 4-H Camp Fundraising Month and the Todd County Extension Office is aiming to raise $15,000 in camp scholarships.
The county sent 142 campers to 4-H camp in 2024, and Todd County 4-H says it will cost $49,300 to send around the same amount this year. Around half of the campers receive scholarships and financial assistance to offset the $340 it costs to send one student to the West Kentucky 4-H Camp in Dawson Springs for a week.
Todd County 4-H is seeking the community’s help and will accept any donation amount, whether a few dollars or the entire fee.
Donations can be sent via Venmo to Rhonda Caughlin Werner at @ RhondaCaughlinWerner (4017) or mailed to the Extension Office at 240 Pond River Road, Elkton, KY 42220.
This year’s 4-H camp will be held from July 14-18. Preregistration forms and a $50 deposit are due Friday, May 23.
