The Green River Academy Historic Site is collaborating with Hatch Show Print, a letterpress shop in Nashville, Tennessee, to create a limited-edition poster.
Hatch Show Print has been a working letterpress print shop since 1879 and is one of the oldest of its kind in the country. Using its historic letterpress, Hatch Show Print is creating custom hand-carved and hand-printed posters of Elkton’s Green River Academy.
Only 100 of these special posters were printed as part of the collaboration, and Green River Academy notes 30 posters currently remain. Green River Academy just recently opened sales and are selling posters on a first come, first served basis. Posters are available on the Green River Academy’s online site HERE, and online orders are available for pickup at Hip Harvest in Elkton and Main Street Market in Guthrie.
Prices begin at $20 for an unframed print and $185 with a frame. The Green River Academy shares the art collaboration is a timeless tribute to education, imagination, and American craftsmanship.
