An Adairville man was charged with two counts of terroristic threatening after he reportedly made threats to Fort Campbell on Tuesday.
Logan County Sheriff’s deputies say they received a call from the Fort Campbell Provost Marshal’s Office on Tuesday after Daniel Draper called Fort Campbell stating, “If I wanted, I could take out two people in the military helicopter that was flying near my house.”
Deputies reportedly went to Draper’s home on Nashville Road, and he complained about the helicopters disturbing him but denied saying anything threatening.
Deputies say Thursday morning they received a call from Andy Roberts with the Federal Aviation Administration in Nashville stating Draper called a second time, making statements that he was going to shoot down any aircraft that flew over his house again.
Due to the threat, the Federal Aviation Administration reportedly restricted all airspace over Logan County until the situation was resolved.
Draper was then arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree terroristic threatening.
