The Todd County Chamber of Commerce held its annual dinner and awards ceremony Saturday, Nov. 9 and Executive Director Tiffany Groves says the event had a great turnout.
165 chamber members and their guests attended the event this year, marking what Groves says has been the biggest year yet for the organization.
During the awards ceremony, the Chamber of Commerce granted 12 awards to outstanding community members.
Educator of the Year — Jackie Leavell
Rising Star — Problem Packers
Organization of the Year — Todd County Extension
New Business of the Year — Horizon Drone Solutions
Agribusiness of the Year — Billy Goat Hill
Small Business of the Year — Quality Office Products
Business of the Year — Tie between HES EnergyNet & Pennyrile Electric
Legacy Award — Weathers Drugs
The Volunteer of the Year award went to Kelvin Deberry, who Groves says has always been a reliable volunteer.
Finally, the Bryan W. Blount Citizen of the Year Award went to James Martin “Jimmy” Groves.
Groves says she loved celebrating the people and businesses who make Todd County so great.
She adds planning for 2025 has already begun in the Chamber of Commerce and the schedule will be available to the community very soon.
