Todd County School District Celebrates First Day Of School

The Todd County School District had a successful first day back to school this past Friday and Superintendent Mark Thomas thanks everyone from the fabulous staff to wonderful students and dedicated parents.

This week kicks off the first full week of the 2024-25 school year and Thomas says he is very excited for all the great things yet to come and the learning to take place.

He adds lots of events are getting ready to take place in the district – football season begins soon and TCCHS is getting ready to wrap up their final scrimmage and begin their season next week. The middle and high school cross country and volleyball teams also begin their seasons next week as all other fall sports continue to be underway.

Thomas shares the fall season for the high school’s E-sports team is also underway and the TCCHS marching band is preparing to begin their competition season next month. Competitions will be every weekend in September as the band prepares to compete in regional and state championships.

Thomas says this year is going to be an absolutely wonderful school year and he can’t wait to see the great things all students and staff will accomplish, none of which would be possible without the support of the Todd County community.
