The Elkton Rotary Club welcomed a new member to its group last week.
Susan Penick, a loan officer at Elkton Bank and Trust, joined and shared with Your WEKT News Edge that she’s ready to jump into the group’s mission of helping her Todd County neighbors. Susan lives in Elkton with her husband Bill and their two children, both under the age of two.
She was invited into the club by Todd County Attorney Jeff Traughber.
In 2024, the Elkton Rotary Club raised over $30,000 during its annual scholarship auction and raised over $8,000 with the Firecracker 5K to support the Todd County Happy Feet program and the local FRYSCs. The group also participates in other community events throughout the year.
The group features over 20 members who meet every Wednesday at Noon at the Milliken Memorial Community House in Elkton.
