The first Todd County Fair began Tuesday with 4-H and FFA students submitting their exhibit entries.
4-H Extension Agent Lee Ann McCuiston says entries will continue to be accepted Wednesday, July 31 from 9-11 a.m. with judging beginning at 11:30 a.m. The exhibits will be on display for the public to view Thursday, Aug. 1 from 4-8 p.m. McCuiston adds purple ribbon class champions will advance to the Kentucky State Fair.
Thursday will be the fair’s biggest day with the Clifty Tractor Club’s antique tractor show, also from 4-8 p.m., and the 4-H and FFA livestock show, open to students throughout the Commonwealth.
The fair will feature two different livestock shows for goats and sheep. Livestock should be on the grounds by 5 p.m. Thursday with weighing at 5:30 p.m. The shows will follow later that evening.
McCuiston says Billy Goat Hill is also bringing its food truck to the fair Thursday and will be donating a portion of the sales to Todd County 4-H.
