Mr. Bruce Wayne Marklin age 70 of Elkton, KY passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. Services will be Monday, July 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton with Rev. Randy Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home and after 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Marklin was born on April 18, 1954, in Todd County. Bruce was a U.S. Marine veteran of Vietnam and retired Chief of Police for Elkton, KY. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a member of American Legion Post 91 in Elkton. Mr. Marklin is preceded in death by his parents Leslie Marklin and Ruby Rust Marklin, his brothers Luther, Omar Lee, Charles, and Norris, and his sisters Georgia Sanford and Linda.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Linda Marklin of Elkton, his daughters Lesley Haddock and her husband Jonathan of Hopkinsville, KY, and Lori Morrow and her husband Robert of Nashville, TN, and 6 grandchildren.
