The sewer treatment plant at 304 Weathers Avenue in Elkton will be open on Saturday, June 1, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM for residents to dispose of tree limbs and debris from the recent storm.
Residents are encouraged to bring debris to the plant if possible.
The city will continue to collect materials placed near sidewalks and streets, but it may take days or weeks to reach everyone due to extensive damage. Residents are urged to drive cautiously as crews work along the streets.
Elderly and disabled residents needing assistance with yard cleanup should contact Elkton City Hall. Volunteers willing to help can also reach out to city hall for guidance.
The city thanks everyone for their efforts since the storm, emphasizing that while the city’s appearance has changed, the community’s spirit of helping each other remains strong.
