Todd County Fiscal Court heard a report concerning the 2024-25 Fiscal Year Rural Secondary Program concerning state road projects during their meeting Friday.
Lucas Gilliam presented the plan to magistrates, stating they have over $1.3 million in funding for these projects. Besides providing routine maintenance and traffic for all 92+ miles of rural secondary roads – coming at an estimated cost of over $426,000, there are two road projects on the list.
Gilliam was also asked by Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield about the status of the turn lane project in front of Todd County Middle School.
He was also questioned about the expansion of U.S. 79 in Todd County.
Gilliam added each year before putting together this list of projects, he rides every state road mile in the county and ranks the need for each road project before compiling the list.
