Calloway County Middle School announced last week that David Carmichael will become their new principal just in time for the 2024-25 school year.
Carmichael currently serves as the assistant principal and will replace Jodi Butler, who is retiring in June. Carmichael has been with CCMS for two years and previously served as principal of Todd County Middle School for four years, following a decade as a music teacher there.
He holds degrees from Murray State University, Austin Peay State University, and principal certification from Western Kentucky University.
