Poll Workers Still Needed In Todd County

With Election Day quickly approaching, Todd County Clerk Cindy O’Bryan again asks for poll workers for the county’s 13 precincts.

In a special called fiscal court meeting Monday, O’Bryan told magistrates she still does not have the 52 needed workers for the May 21 primary election.

Training for poll workers is scheduled for Thursday, May 2.

Absentee voting is underway in the county. Residents needing a mail-in absentee ballot can obtain one here.

Walk-in absentee voting is open from May 8-15. Early voting will be May 16, 17, and 18 from 8 am to 4 pm at the Todd County courthouse.

In other news, magistrates passed the first reading of the county’s budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year. The $21,500,000 budget includes among other things, $8.1 million in the general fund, $2.7 million in road funds, and nearly $3 million in allocations for capital projects.

Magistrates also approved a $25,896 bid to ComCare for the county’s ambulance service and a $7798 bid to VEI Communications in Russellville for upgrades and repairs to the county’s Nexedge radio systems.
