Todd County Grand Jury Returns Indictments

The Todd County Grand Jury returned numerous indictments in March and April.

March indictments returned:

  • 46-year-old Bradley Haney, of Clarksville, Tennessee – theft by unlawful taking or disposition (auto) more than $10,000, less than $1,000,000; first-degree criminal mischief – $1,000 or more; and obscuring identify of machine or other property – $10,000 or more. The charges stem from a theft of a 2022 Keystone Montana RV, owned by Ronald Martin, occurring between September 3-7, 2023.
  • 32-year-old Keith Ball, of Clarksville, Tennessee – theft by unlawful taking or disposition, (all others) $1,000 or more, under $10,000; and third-degree criminal trespassing. Those charges came following the October 18, 2020 theft of a tandem axle trailer owned by Jodie Redding.
  • 38-year-old Andrew Folk, of Clarksville, Tennessee – first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle); reckless driving; improper lane usage; five counts of first-degree wanton endangerment; driving on a DUI suspended license (second offense in five years); operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (second offense – aggravating circumstances); possession of burglary tools; third-degree attempted assault; and speeding 26 MPH or greater over limit. The charges came after he allegedly did not pull over for a traffic stop initiated by the Guthrie Police Department on December 17, 2023. One of the charges comes from his subsequent booking in the Todd County Detention Center.
  • 45-year-old Patrick Morris, of Elkton – third-degree arson and second-degree persistent felony offender. The charges came after an Old Allensville Road house fire between January 18-19, 2024.
  • 52-year-old Jerry Whitaker, Jr., of Allensville – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges came after a January 31 arrest.
  • 34-year-old Eric Moore, of Hopkinsville – speeding 11 MPH or greater over the limit; possession of marijuana; tampering with physical evidence; and convicted felon in possession of a handgun. The charges come from a November 11, 2023 traffic stop.
  • 34-year-old Erick Ruiz, of Gallatin, Tennessee – disregarding signals from officers directing traffic; no operator’s/moped license; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (over two grams – meth); possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle; no/expired registration plates; and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance. The charges came following a December 10, 2023 traffic stop by the Guthrie Police Department.
  • 31-year-old Trevor LaRue, of Bowling Green – convicted felon in possession of a handgun. The charges stem from an incident from December 24-25, 2023, he was previously convicted of a felony in Warren County, Kentucky.

 

April indictments returned:

  • 58-year-old Eddie King, of Guthrie – sexual misconduct; first-degree sexual abuse – victim under 12 years of age (against a vulnerable victim; promoting a sexual performance by a minor less than 16; first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal sex act); use of a minor in a sexual performance; posses matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor; first-degree sodomy; and incest. The charges come from incidents between October 1, 2017, and October 6, 2020, when King allegedly performed these acts on the same victim multiple times, on a minor who was under the ages of 12-16.
  • 33-year-old David McPherson, of Elkton – first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (eight grams of cocaine); first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (4.1 grams of meth); possession of drug paraphernalia; and first-degree persistent felony offender (felony cases from Todd County). The charges stem from a February 13, 2024 arrest.
  • 37-year-old Ricky Hankins, Jr., of Russellville – first-degree burglary; first-degree strangulation; fourth-degree assault; and first-degree persistent felony offender (felony cases from Logan and Todd County). The charges came after a January 12, 2024 arrest.
  • 32-year-old Zyla Holder, of Guthrie – speeding 15 MPH or greater over the limit; driving DUI on a suspended license; operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (fourth or greater offense); operating motor vehicle/motorcycle function without interlock device; no/expired Kentucky registration receipt; failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance; and possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle. The charges came from a traffic stop on February 23.
  • 45-year-old David Kenner, of Sharon Grove – second offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol; second-degree assault; possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle; failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security; first-degree criminal mischief ($1,000 0r more); and first-degree persistent felony offender (felony cases from Todd County). The charges came following a traffic crash on Blue Gray Park Road on February 2.
  • 42-year-old Billy Johnson, of Fairview – convicted felon in possession of a handgun; first-degree enhanced trafficking in controlled substances (second or greater offense – 12 grams of meth); first-degree enhanced trafficking controlled substance (second or greater offense – 200 acetaminophen/hydrocodone pills); possession of drug paraphernalia; enhanced trafficking in marijuana (second or greater offense – less than eight ounces); and controlled substance prescription not in original container. The charges stem from an April 4 arrest. Additionally, Johnson was indicted on charges from a March 4th arrest – first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (second or greater offense – 2.4 grams of meth) and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (second or greater offense – 15.5 grams of meth). Both cases were presented to the grand jury by the Pennyrile Narcotics Taskforce.
  • 32-year-old Andre Adams, of Clarksville, Tennessee – speeding 16 MPH over the speed limit; failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security; trafficking in marijuana – firearm enhanced (3 ounces); three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance; possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle; no operator’s/moped license; and convicted felon in possession of a handgun. The charges follow a February 23 arrest by the Guthrie Police Department.
  • 47-year-old Michael Vaitsis, of Nashville, Tennessee – speeding 13 MPH over the limit; first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth); first-degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin); failure to/or improper signal; using restricted ammo during a felony – no shots; possession of drug paraphernalia; and operating on a suspended/revoked operators license. The charges came from an arrest on December 31, 2023.
  • 33-year-old DeKeidre Cross, of Nashville, Tennessee – operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license; first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine); first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine – more than four grams); possession of drug paraphernalia; and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance (aggravating circumstances). The charges come from a March 9th arrest by the Guthrie Police Department.
  • 20-year-old Micah Smith, of Clarksville, Tennessee – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified). 35-year-old Derrick Stallworth, also of Clarksville – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified) and operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license. The charges stem from a March 3rd traffic stop.
  • 53-year-old Gerald Mimms, of Sharon Grove – fourth offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The charge came following an October 2, 2023 traffic stop by the Todd County Sheriff’s Office.
  • 24-year-old Cortez Cooper, of Louisville, Kentucky – first-degree promoting contraband; third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified); second-degree promoting contraband; and first-degree persistent felony offender (felony cases from Jefferson County, Kentucky).  40-year-old Matthew Goesman, also of Louisville – first-degree promoting contraband; third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified); and first-degree persistent felony offender (felony cases from Jefferson County, Kentucky).  Both were presented with those charges on March 25th after allegedly bringing drugs into the Todd County Detention Center.
