The City of Guthrie will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday at Covington Park.
Registration for the free community event begins at 11:30 a.m. near the park’s pavilion. Deputy Clerk Connie Wofford says the egg hunt will begin at 12:30 p.m. and kids will be hunting for eggs in six different age groups: ages one and under, two to three, four to five, six to seven, eight to nine, and 10-11.
She adds children should bring their own baskets.
There will also be a drawing for prizes after the egg hunt, for which you must be present to win.
The event will also feature music by Eric Burks, a “bunny hop” cake walk, and a sack lunch with a hot dog, chips, cookie, and drink.
Families can register their children for the event up until 12:15 p.m. Wofford says there will also be a goodie bag for kids with a craft and information about upcoming community events.
Covington Park is located on the Dixie-Beeline Highway.
