Elkton Police Officer Stayce Player says he stopped a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Derek Stallworth after he noticed the vehicle pulling into a park after hours.

During the stop, law enforcement could reportedly smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and after a search 12 green pills believed to be MDMA were found.

Stallworth and his passenger 21-year-old Micah Smith were arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Stallworth was also cited for operating on a suspended or revoked license.
