An Elkton man was arrested on a warrant for trafficking drugs in Logan County Tuesday afternoon.
South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force says a joint investigation with the Pennyrile Narcotics Drug Task Force into counterfeit Fentanyl pills led to a controlled buy from 54-year-old Anthony Johnson and 255 pills being seized.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and Fentanyl pills have been the cause of numerous overdose deaths in Logan and Simpson counties.
Johnson was arrested on the drug task force warrant by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and is lodged in the Logan County Jail.
He is charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession of fentanyl, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
