Joshua Claussen is becoming the Program Director for Todd 1070 WEKT and wektradio.com.
Edge Media Group President and General Manager Beth Mann says Claussen will take over the Program Director duties on Monday, January 8th. He will be in charge of daily programming and news that airs daily on WEKT. Claussen has been working closely with the daily operation of Elkton’s hometown radio station since the station was acquired by Mann and Edge Media Group in July of 2023.
Claussen says it is a dream come true for him to serve as WEKT Program Director.
Claussen says among his goals as Program Director is working to better serve Todd County, Elkton, and all other communities.
He adds he is looking forward to working with President and General Manager Beth Mann and the Todd County community to ensure WEKT provides the service listeners expect from their hometown radio station.
Claussen began working for Ham Broadcasting and Edge Media Group when he was 14 years old as a high school sports producer. He also has an extensive interest in weather and breaking weather coverage.
