Those who want to purchase a Christmas holiday wreath for the grave of a veteran in any cemetery in Todd or surrounding counties can order them at a special discount through Wreaths Across America Coordinator Cindy Hinson until January 16th.
Hinson has been working with Wreaths Across America to place Christmas Holiday wreaths on the graves of veterans in cemeteries across Western Kentucky and northwest Tennessee since 2016. She says that while others give wreaths to well-known military cemeteries, she wants to accommodate to people who may not be able to bring the wreath to those areas.
Hinson also says that she finds it important to be able to place wreaths in the cemeteries that are less visited.
Hinson shares needed information about buying the wreaths through a buy-one-get-one-free offer.
She also gives information about picking up or delivering the wreaths.
Hinson says a Todd County business is donating which allowed her to place wreaths in a cemetery in the county in 2023.
She says that some people will buy one wreath and give the second to someone who can also honor a fallen veteran.
Wreaths Across America is honoring fallen veterans one at a time with every wreath purchased.
