Mr. Jerry Bennett Hightower, age 75 of Pembroke, KY, passed away at 5:00 a.m., Monday, January 01, 2024, at his residence. Services will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. Lucian Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Stokes Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Services will be live-streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.
Mr. Hightower was born in Elkton, KY on July 9, 1948. He was a retired quality control superintendent for Howard Pence Construction and Lakeshore Engineering. He loved and enjoyed working. Mr. Hightower was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam and a member of Freedom Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Hightower and Effie Bell Stokes Hightower, his wife, Jeanetta Ann Hightower, his brothers, Don Hightower, James Hightower, and Arthur Hightower, his sister, Melvia Sears.
He is survived by his sons, Randy (Kelly) Jones of Pembroke, KY, and Jason Earl Hightower and his wife Jennifer of Pembroke, KY, his daughter, Karen Bass and her husband Tim of Hopkinsville, his brother, Anthony Hightower of Elkton, KY, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
