The deadline is quickly approaching to pay property taxes that are up for renewal this month.
The Todd County Sheriff’s Department will be open during normal hours on Wednesday, December 27, and Thursday, December 28. The Sheriff’s Department administrative office will close at noon Friday, December 29, for the New Year’s holiday weekend and will remain closed until Tuesday, January 2.
There will be no face amount payments on January 1 and a 5% penalty will be added. After February 1, a 21% penalty will be added.
Property taxes can be paid by mail with a stamped return envelope without a fee as long as the envelope is postmarked by December 31.
