A wreck on US 68 at Tress Shop Road in Todd County sent three people to the hospital Wednesday morning with one woman later dying from her injuries.
Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy Patrick Turner says Elsie Shemwell of Sharon Grove was attempting to turn onto US 68 from Tress Shop Road and pulled into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by Emari White of Clarksville.
Shemwell was transported by ambulance to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for her injuries. White and her 3-year-old passenger were taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries.
Shemwell later died at the hospital from her injuries according to the Davidson County, Tennessee Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash happened just after 11 a.m.
