Mr. Melvin Clay Jenkins, age 73 of Olmstead, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at his residence. Services for Mr. Melvin will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2023, at Latham Funeral Home with Brother Butch Nash officiating. The service will be live-streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com. Burial will follow in the Hermon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time for the service at Latham Funeral Home.
Mr. Melvin was born May 11, 1950, in Todd County, KY. He was a retired farmer and truck driver for Flynn Enterprises in Elkton. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Russellville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milburn Jenkins and Agnes Marklin Jenkins; his brother, Ronnie Jenkins and his sister Dorothy Albert.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Yvonne Jenkins of Olmstead; his son, Brian Jenkins of Hendersonville, TN; his daughters, Holly Jenkins of Franklin and Andrea Jenkins of Bowling Green; his brothers, Carl Jenkins of Trenton, James Jenkins of Guthrie and Richard Jenkins of Chandler Chapel; his sisters, Elizabeth Meek of Clarksville, TN and Janice Faye Gaither of Clarksville, TN.
