Between the football game, senior night and a “pink-out” celebration, Todd County had an exciting Friday night.
Every October, one of Todd County’s football games is dedicated to breast cancer awareness with a pink-out celebration. One main feature of the celebration is the unique pink t-shirt and sweatshirt designs.
Todd Central student Emma Carver says she and her classmate Jillian Brandon created this year’s “tackling breast cancer” design.
The shirts were printed by screen-printing shop Fantastics in Greenville, Kentucky. Carver adds the two were able to sell quite a few shirts – so many, that they are completely sold out.
While the end of October wraps up National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it is an ongoing, year-round issue. For information and resources, visit nationalbreastcancer.org.
