Mrs. Betsy Isabelle Wimms, age 94 of Elkton, passed away at 7:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. Services for Mrs. Betsy will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Phillips Chapel C.M.E. Church in Elkton. Burial will follow in the Elkton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Phillips Chapel C.M.E. Church. Latham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Betsy was born November 11, 1928, in Elkton. She retired from Western State Hospital in Hopkinsville, as a Nurse’s Aide. She was a member of Phillips Chapel C.M.E. Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Lee and Mayme Lee McClain Small, and her sister, Patricia Terrell.
Survivors include her daughter, Muriel V. Andrews of Elkton, her grandchildren, Orlando Andrews and Muri Anita Andrews; her great-grandchildren, Kenyuana Coleman and Sielo Coleman.
